Mad River Food Hub is pleased to announce that Bill Cavanaugh is joining the team to head up Meat Processing and Food Safety at the Waitsfield, VT based Business Incubator.
Bill is moving to Vermont from Pennsylvania where he was Business Manager for Dundore and Heister Meats , a retail butchers shop in West Reading. Prior to Dunmore Bill served as the Production Manager/ Head Butcher at Fleisher's Grass Fed and Organic Meats a leader in craft butchery in NY.
Mad River Food Hub is a USDA inspected processing facility where farms and businesses have access to processing rooms, cold storage and technical assistance designed to help incubate their businesses.
“Mad River Food Hub” has been in operation nearly 5 years and we have been looking for a butcher with business and education expertise to enhance the services to our current and future customers as well as our community” said Robin Morris, Mad River Food Hub’s founder and president. “Bill will be able to share his wealth of experience from the NY and PA Markets with our customers including training on curing, smoking and charcuterie.”
