Open Farm Week: Farm Registration

Farmers: Open Farm Week is a great way to engage with customers and your community. At this point, we want to make sure that you have the week on your calendars so you can start planning. Remember, you can choose any day during the week to host an event, or have events on multiple days. Registration for farm participation is open now on the new DigInVT.com and will run until July 2nd - note that the deadline to request scholarships and TA is May 15th.

Farming the Woods

Any practice combining forest management and crop production is considered agroforestry, but only a few possible ventures have the knowledge, technology, and markets that support profitability on a wide range of landscapes. This course explores ventures tree saps and syrups, mushroom cultivation and silvopasture using the Sterling woodlot as an outdoor classroom for intimate discourse and hands-on activities.

This 3SquaresVT training is for anyone who wants to learn more about 3SquaresVT (known nationally as SNAP/food stamps), how it works in Vermont, how it supports VT farmers and grocers, and how to help people who might be eligible learn about the program. You do not have to work directly with low-income Vermonters or do application assistance to benefit from this training.
