We are currently looking to fill several positions for fall 2017:
- Fall Farmstand & Coffee Shop Crew: Through the end of October (with a possibility of reduced hours in November and December). This position requires attention to detail and an interest in customer service. Retail, money-handling, and barista experience are all a huge plus, but we will train the right person. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong interest in food, cooking, and local, organic agriculture, and be interested in engaging customers about these topics. Requires a flexible schedule and applicants must be able to work weekends. Other days will vary. This position is 4-5 days per week and 20-30 hours/week. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in returning (full-time or part-time) for the 2018 season.
- Full and Part Time Kitchen Positions: The Cedar Circle Farm Kitchen is looking for a few additions to the 2017 fall kitchen crew. If you are interested in cooking, baking, preserving or want to learn about food in a hands-on environment, we encourage you to apply. The growing season on the farm provides a fantastic assortment of organic fruits and vegetables to work with daily.
- Fall Production Crew: Through November 2017. 30-45 hrs/week. Duties include seeding, transplanting, planting, weeding, harvesting, attending farmers’ markets, and processing and packing organic vegetables and small fruit. Must be a high energy, motivated team player. No experience necessary. This position requires working one weekend day each week but we will attempt to give you consecutive days off. Applicants need to be able to work well in a variety of settings, including both independently and in a group setting. Due to the seasonal urgency of farming, we cannot allow more than 7 consecutive days off. Please notify us of all planned vacations in your application. Applicants must be physically able to perform repetitive tasks while standing or kneeling, willing and able to learn, work hard, and enjoy being outside in diverse weather conditions. Must be able to lift 65 pounds and have a valid driver’s license. Pay begins at $10/hr and may increase depending on experience. A fun, diverse job opportunity for folks who aren’t afraid to get dirty!
