Position: Farm & Property Coordinator

Confluence is a clinically-intensive mental health treatment program treating young adults with emotional, substance use and relational challenges. The program combines wilderness adventure therapy with a residential experience, farm programming, and comprehensive health and wellness services to guide young adults facing mental health challenges towards engaged, positive and fulfilling lives.

Job Description:

The Farm & Property Coordinator is responsible for working with the leadership team to manage the farm, garden, trails, and on-property farmsteading activities. Tasks include outdoor farm and property work, including starting seeds, planting, weeding, harvesting, composting, tilling and other tasks associated with farm production and property maintenance. The position also involves direct service with program participants to align and implement farm activities with the therapeutic milieu and program objectives. Additionally, time is spent developing and planning educational  curriculum, seasonal plans, scheduling and other office work.


  • Work with leadership team to coordinate farm plans, participant activities and program integration

  • Provide direct service to participants in accordance with treatment plans

  • Manage year round farm and garden projects, including the indoor garden, maple sugaring, firewood, cidering;

  • Support Farm to Table programming

  • Develop and implement a planting calendar and year-round farm plan

  • Develop and implement a year round property maintenance schedule

  • Groundskeeping, including fall/spring clean-up, lawn/field/flower garden maintenance

  • Snow removal; including shoveling

  • On-call responsibilities and mentor coverage availability

  • Associated other tasks as required


  • Experience managing and operating in a farm setting preferred

  • Organization, initiative, detail oriented and a passion for the work

  • Integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism

  • Must be able to pass extensive background investigation
