The Consumer Protection Section Chief guides experienced technical and administrative staff members as they provide regulatory and technical support to Vermont farmers, business owners, and consumers in a myriad of subject areas, including agricultural food products and weighing and measuring devices. This position allows the successful applicant to engage in a rewarding mix of regulation and education, technical assistance and outreach. Because Vermont’s food production industries are constantly evolving to support discerning consumers, the expertise required of the Chief is dynamic, and the job is never the same two days in a row.
