We have an exciting temporary, part-time opportunity for a person who enjoys working as part of a team with Child Nutrition Programs to help Vermont Child & Adult Care Programs (CACFP), Day Care Home Sponsors and their homes, as well as schools implement the food program to provide meals and snacks at theirs sites to support and improve their nutrition environment. The consultant will provide training and technical assistance on USDA’s CACFP rules and regulations and conduct monitoring visits at the participating programs. The consultant will also be a member of the Child Nutrition Programs team which administers the school meals programs, (Lunches, Breakfasts and Snacks), the Summer Food Service Program, and the USDA Foods Program. The applicant must have a degree and/or related experience in Food & Nutrition, Child Nutrition Programs or school food service, and some knowledge of child care regulations and adult day care requirements in VT, the ability to work with complex regulations, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This is a temporary, part time position, working 2 to 3 days per week as needed.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree AND four (4) years or more of professional level work experience in a field related to teaching or provision of educational support services.
Master's degree AND three (3) years or more of professional level work experience in a field related to teaching or provision of educational support services.
