The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf works to alleviate hunger by feeding people and cultivating opportunities. As the largest direct service emergency food provider in Vermont, CEFS serves over 12,000 people each year. The CEFS food shelf is open from 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.

The Good Food Truck is an innovative project of the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf in Burlington, VT. We seek to deliver nutritious, free meals made with locally sourced veggies, dairy and proteins to low income Vermonters where they live. We also pop at events and catering gigs where patrons can pay for delicious localvore street food and support our mission.
