Tigertown Farm is an off-grid, experimental homestead developing low cost and low energy input strategies for regenerating a tired piece of land in our Vermont landscape. Through permaculture system design, building with reclaimed construction materials, and agro-ecological farming practices, we seek to relearn how to live and sustain ourselves within a greater working ecosystem.

Our enterprises include Tigertown Compost, which annually diverts tens of thousands of pounds of restaurant organic material from landfills each year and doesn't stop there. We aim at achieving highest use from all materials put through our system- feeding pigs, chickens, fungi and the soil! Additionally, nearly all of our and our guests' diet comes from our farm and woodlands. Specifically, from foraging, hunting, raising heritage pigs and birds, organic culinary mushroom production, the biodynamic orchards, sugar bush as well as a diverse and resilient rotation of annual veggies which share our 30 acre farm. We are 100% off grid, which means we source all of our own water, and electricity from our gravity well and solar panel array. We offer free room and board homestead immersion experiences to travelers from around the globe.
