Vermont Chevon Meats is a new sales and marketing company located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom connecting a collective of goat meat producers with restaurants, caterers, food cooperatives/hubs, ethnic markets, CSA's, and individual consumers.

Shirley Richardson, owner of Tannery Farm Cashmeres and an entrepreneur, and Jan Westervelt, a lifelong businessman and entrepreneur, brought their talents together to create Vermont Chevon, a network of dairy goat farms that produce a quality meat product. Jan and Shirley created the business with two goals: adding value to Vermont's dairy goat farms by converting surplus livestock into a premium meat source and educating the culinary and consumer markets about this healthy and flavorful meat.
