I assist in coordinating the Farm to Plate Network and our organization is responsible for implementing the Farm to Plate Initiative, at the request of the Vermont Legislature. I serve on the Boards of Red Tomato, the Working Lands Enterprise Fund, and the Sustainable Agriculture Council. Christine joined the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund in August 2016 as the Forest Products Program Director. The program is a collaboration between the Jobs Fund, the Northern Forest Center and the Vermont Working Lands Enterprise Board with a goal of improving value chain investment opportunities for Vermont’s forest products industry and increasing the value of sustainable forestry in the state. Christine will be working closely with individuals and businesses throughout the supply chain from landowners, foresters, loggers and sawmills to secondary market producers to develop new value chain investment strategies and build a brand for Vermont-grown, sustainably-harvested wood products such as construction material, furniture and modern wood heat products. Christine has 20+ years of experience in journalism, strategic communications and conservation. She lives in Stowe with her husband and their two dogs, one cat and the assorted wildlife species that share their tiny plot of heaven.
