Yellow Wood Associates (Yellow Wood) is a woman-owned small business specializing in rural community economic development since 1985. Yellow Wood has experience in program evaluation, business development, market research, business plans, feasibility studies, and strategic planning for rural communities, and is able to bring both content and process expertise to the task at hand. Yellow Wood provides a range of services that include training, facilitation, research, and program management. We work to provide practical and accessible solutions to client concerns, including, where desired, assistance in developing local capacity and networks required for successful implementation. In over 25 years of working with federal, state, and local governments, industry groups, universities, and regional organizations, we have evolved a capacity to research complex problems effectively and translate our findings in ways that are readily understood and, where appropriate, actionable. We have a proven ability to thoroughly examine complex issues, keeping the big picture in mind while not losing sight of the critical details.
