Ideas from the Farm: Vermont Growers Insights on Reducing Food Loss
Twenty-four growers from around Vermont were interviewed in January of 2017 as part of Salvation Farms’ research. The goal was to better understand growers’ perspectives and insights into how best to reduce food loss on Vermont farms. A report detailing these perspectives has recently been released by the organization.

City Market Co-op Accepting Applications for Co-op Seedling Grants
City Market is now accepting applications for their 2019 Co-op Seedling Grants program! This program, now in its sixth year, awards funding to community organizations working to strengthen the local food system. In 2018, we awarded $30,000 to seven organizations including Age Well, Community Health Centers of Burlington, Howard Center, Milk with Dignity Standards Council, United Way of Lamoille County, UVM Plant and Soil Science, and Winooski Partnership for Prevention.
