This field day is being hosted by CVCSP and Chuck Farr and Ashley Farr and families. Farr Farms is a multi-generational dairy operation; Chuck Farr leads crop production while his son, Ashley, and his family manages the dairy. Here, we will discuss the many opportunities that winter rye, grown as a seed crop, can offer. We will also take a look at large blocks of 8 different combinations of legumes, brassicas and cereal grains and discuss the benefits and challenges of these systems.
