Farm to Institution Training for Food Service Consultants

These days, one of the strongest demands on institutional food service administrators comes from the farm to institution movement. The clients of food service consultants are under growing pressure to increase support for their communities by serving local food, and they look to their consultant as an expert to lead them through this process.

Farm to Institution New England is working to build a resource for food service consultants in this growing field. In this webinar, we will share our comprehensive toolkit for increasing local food procurement by institutional food services, showcasing how it pertains to the request for proposal (RFP) process for food service management companies. The webinar will include a live case study sharing how the University of Vermont navigated a cutting edge RFP process by working with a consultant and engaging the campus community.

Join FINE for this CEU-credited, free webinar on January 31, 2017, at 1 p.m. EST to learn how you can help your clients succeed in reaching their local food goals by better understanding specifications, RFPs, proposal development, and management.
