Richard Witting grew up in Vermont exploring the woods and gathering edible plants and mushrooms and has been cooking and selling wild edibles since 2001. Richard is the chef and owner of Firefly Catering and orchestrator of the Isole Dinner Club — Burlington-based dinner club exploring different cultures and eras through the fusion of scholarly lectures, art, performance, food and libations. Richard also studied anthropology at UVM and has been researching the ethnohistory of food and its use.
