Whether it’s fresh fish, bear, or deer; Vermont’s streams, lakes and woods are teeming with an abundance of food that is rooted in Vermont – as long as someone knows how to cook it, of course. That’s why Vermont Fish & Wildlife is partnering with Rooted in Vermont, a program of the Vermont Farm to Plate Network, this summer to help Vermonters better learn about what foods are available all around them and how to make them into a delicious meal.
This hands-on seminar will feature experts from the field that will help participants learn the basics of preparing and cooking wild fish, bear, and deer and will also include time to enjoy the tasty creations made during the seminar. All evenings are free and open to the public and no previous experience is necessary to attend.
