Upper Valley Farmer Climate Network Kickoff

The Skinny Pancake
Quechee, VT

Join fellow farmers for food, drinks, conversation, and planning at the Upper Valley Farmer Climate Network Kickoff, October  21, 5-7 pm at The Skinny Pancake in Quechee, 5:00-7:00. Joshua Faulkner, UVM Extension Climate Program Coordinator, will share climate predictions for our region and an overview of current mitigation and adaption practices.

Upper Valley farmers are responding to the changing climate with a range of adaptation techniques. With funding from Northeast SARE, Vital Communities will be convening regular climate-focused farmer events to build a resilient farmer network. These regular, farmer-directed gatherings will focus on farmer-to-farmer learning, visiting experts, on-farm models and demonstrations, and sharing resources that could improve farm and community resiliency. The Farmer Climate Network is by and for farmers, from aspiring farmers to long-time farmers.

Take a break from the end of season work and join us for this FREE gathering. Details and registration: https://vitalcommunities.org/valleyfoodfarm/climate/
