The Vermont Farm Show has been going strong since 1931 (with a couple years hiatus due to World War II), and we’ve traveled from Memorial Auditorium in Burlington to the Civic Auditorium in Barre to our current home at the  Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction.  Whether you are a first time visitor or have been coming for years, we are so happy to share the future of agriculture with you!
From the Vermont Farm Show Team – Jackie, Glenn, Dave and Steve and the Vermont Farm Show Board of Directors.

Welcome from the Secretary of Agriculture, Anson Tebbetts

It’s that time of year again when our farming families and agriculture communities brave the winter roads to meet at the Vermont Farm Show.  The 3-day event has brought us together for decades to celebrate food, farming and fun.  This year is no different, but the future is upon us now in many ways, and we hope we can help you move agriculture forward with new crops, ideas and thinking.  This year the Agency is offering three new workshops on Day 2 featuring hemp, produce and social media, as well as a Weights & Measures small scale inspection station.

We at the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food and Markets hope you’ll visit our booth at the Farm Show.  Please bring your questions, suggestions or concerns. We will do our best to get you what you need so you can make informed decisions.

Enjoy your time with your neighbors and friends, catch up with your peers and check in with your neighbors. We also encourage you to help us spread the word with folks outside of agriculture about the Vermont Farm Show. You have a great story to tell and a vital mission for us all, and we hope folks will come learn more during these special three days in Essex Junction.
