This forum is an opportunity for teachers, administrators, guidance counselors, and other education professionals to engage with business owners, managers, supervisors, and employers in Vermont’s food system. Participants will hear the results of a statewide survey of employers and business owners that identifies gaps between current food system education and the skills needed by today’s food businesses. The education and employment communities will be given ample time to meet and discuss the study’s findings and recommendations, and everyone will leave with a shared knowledge of the action needed to better prepare Vermont’s workforce for jobs in the food system.
