Farm Stands dot Vermont's country roads, but what is the difference between a good farm stand and a great farm stand? This workshop will address several considerations of putting together a farm stand for the first time, or redesigning your existing space. Presenters will share concepts to help you assess the feasibility of a farm stand for your property, including cost projections of building and strategies for reaching your customers. Learn basic design principles that will help you create a warm, delicious customer experience.
Presenters: Rose Wilson, Business Development Consultant specializing in marketing, business planning, and business development for farms, non-profits, and small businesses.
Scott Woosley has been associated with Killdeer Farm in Norwich for 17 years, managing retail operations for the past eight. His strengths in marketing and merchandising, along with his love of food and people, have contributed to Killdeer’s success and reputation. Scott also teaches cooking classes at King Arthur Flour and serves on the board of directors of the Vermont Fresh Network.
