The Vermont Farm Viability Program, a program of the Vermont Housing & Conservation Board, is hosting a two-day gathering in Middlebury, Vermont for service and capital providers working to improve the viability of farms and food businesses. The National Farm Viability Conference is geared towards professionals in the fields of farm business planning, farm financial planning, agricultural financing, farmland conservation, agricultural market development, and food hub management. This is an opportunity to network with and learn from colleagues in your field, develop new knowledge and skills, and visit farms and value-added processing facilities.
Workshops will increase knowledge and skills in:
- providing business planning, feasibility analysis, and transfer planning services
- financing agricultural operations and supporting entrepreneurs to access different types of capital
- assisting farm and food business in accessing new market opportunities
