Growing Greens for Market

In this 2 day course you will learn how to create a crop plan for growing successional greens throughout the growing season. This will include plant dates, harvest times, yields and income. We will focus on head lettuce, salad mix, micro greens and spinach. We will spend time in the field looking at seeding and harvesting techniques, washing, storage and packing along with soil needs for each crop. This course will include a field trip to Pete’s Greens in Craftsbury Vermont.
