Milk Quality

This course covers all aspects of producing high quality wholesale milk. Specific tops covered will be cow environment, milking, milking equipment, cleaning, milk quality measures, troubleshooting, milk culturing, mastitis pathogens and mastitis treatment. Students will spend several hours in practical laboratory. Upon completion of this course students will be able to identify and improve all factors which decrease the quality of milk. 12 hours lecture 12 hours laboratory.
