Join us for a reception and farm to table meal with wine pairings from Vermont’s sole biodynamic wine producer, Deirdre Heekin of La Garagista in Barnard, Vermont. The family style dinner will feature ingredients from the market garden, pastures, forests and vineyard. A very limited production wine (only 22 bottles!) made by Deirdre from grapes grown on Shelburne Farms will be served. Deirdre and her husband Caleb are the owners of Osteria Pane e Salute restaurant in Woodstock but will take the night off to come join us and talk about the joys and challenges of making wines that convey a true sense of place in Vermont.
Copies of Deirdre’s book, “An Unlikely Vineyard; the education of a farmer and her quest for terroir” named one of the best wine books of 2014 by the New York Times will be available for purchase and signing.
