Join UVM Extension agronomist Heather Darby and her team as they tour the wide array of their research plots at Borderview Research Farm, including the certified organic hopyard, as well as trials on heirloom grains and beans, cover crops and annual forages, and fertility management like chilean nitrate and oilseed meal. The field day's theme is Innovation and Diversification and will include demonstrations of equipment including highboy cover crop seeder and box manure spreader, as well as drone technology to monitor crops, FarmHack equipment including a low-cost refrigeration unit, GHG monitoring equipment, and much more! On-site registration will start at 9:15 a.m. with the tour starting promptly at 10 a.m. and running until 3:30 p.m. Registration is $10 for farmers; $25 for others.
