Students will learn the most important aspects of treatment and prevention of milk fever, ketosis and rumen acidosis. Management of the “big three” in dairy cattle results in the prevention of almost all other dairy cattle diseases. Particular emphasis will be placed on common management practices for prevention of major dairy cattle disease. (7 hours lecture)
