In this seminar, you will learn the basics of how to choose a path for ownership succession in your business. We will take a close look at four different ways of selling a business: to an outsider, to family members, to managers or to the larger group of employees. While we will get into some technical details, the focus will be on stories about each path, told via video by owners who have been involved in the sale of Vermont businesses. Attendance is limited to business owners and key managers.

This 2-day class will review the seven HACCP (hazard analysis and critical control points) principles with emphasis on the current HACCP regulations and upcoming regulations by the Food Safety Modernization Act. Participants that attend this class will learn the difference between food safety regulations, food safety requirements by customers, and will be better prepared to organizer food safety program for their companies, or improve their current food safety programs and obtain a certificate from the International HACCP Alliance.
