Marketing Coordinator for Food Connects
Join our team! Food Connects is looking for a self-motivated Marketing Coordinator to collaborate with our creative team, expand our outreach initiatives, and help grow our Food Hub marketing efforts.
Who We Are
Headquartered in Brattleboro, VT, Food Connects is a food-systems non-profit organization with two flagship programs. The Farm to School(FTS) program supports school implementation of food, farm, and nutrition education, strengthening their school nutrition programs. Our Food Hub delivers locally and regionally produced foods to co-ops, markets, schools, and hospitals. We build strong relationships with schools, working in partnership to transform the food system. Are you passionate about local food and about the vision of New England feeding New England? Do you believe in the importance of young people knowing where their food comes from and feeling empowered about growing and preparing their food? Do you want to support school food service professionals, administrators, and teachers in food systems change? Do you want to do meaningful work supporting our local agricultural economy while also ensuring access to nutritious food for local youth?
What You Will Do
In this position, you will serve on the Marketing Team to promote the mission and vision of Food Connects. Your work with the Food Connects Food Hub Sales Team will create effective marketing materials for our regional producers and customers. You will engage stakeholders in original and compelling materials, including social media content, blog content, and newsletters. Additionally, you will support the organization’s events and fundraising efforts. Within Food Connects, you will work closely with the Food Connects Development Team to build and strengthen existing Food Hub funding sources.
Experience and Knowledge Needed
This position requires an organized individual who is excited about promoting local food systems and food advocacy. You should find storytelling and creating original content engaging and energizing. Experience working in the Adobe Suite, Canva, Google Suite, multiple social media platforms, Mailchimp, and Squarespace (or other equivalent programs and software) is required. Experience in videography, photography, and graphic design is preferred.

You may meet with food producers and customers at locations throughout southeastern Vermont and southwestern New Hampshire, so reliable transportation is a must (Food Connects provides mileage reimbursement). The work schedule is flexible, and working partially from home is allowed. There will also be occasional meetings and events on evenings and weekends, with plenty of advance notice.
Compensation and Benefits
This position has the following benefits after a 90-day introductory period:
The compensation for this position is $16-18, depending on experience. This is a full-time, non-exempt, 35-40 hour/week position.
