Coordinator (Regeneration Corps)

The Regeneration Corps Coordinator is a part-time position with room to grow, working in collaboration with a team of organizational partners to support a young and budding program, Regeneration Corps (RC). RC integrates community-based learning, practical skills-building, racial justice and climate change education, regenerative agriculture, and activism to empower youth while helping high school students satisfy core academic requirements. This program had a successful first semester during the fall of 2020, partnering with two schools and three farms in the Upper Valley, and building relationships with many more for 2021.

The Coordinator will work alongside a fun and dedicated organizational partnership, consisting of representatives from Community Resilience Organizations, Rural Vermont, Vermont Farm to Plate, Change the World Kids, Grow More Waste Less, Center for Grassroots Organizing, and Building A Local Economy. The Coordinator’s responsibilities include: 

• Manage, improve, and expand on the Regeneration Corps mission, projects, relationships and curriculum development

• Financial development and bookkeeping (grant co-writing, budget maintenance, etc.)

• Coordinate partner meetings and communication

• Maintain website and social media (Facebook, Instagram) 

• Facilitate and document partnerships and projects 

• Lead communication and outreach for the expansion of this program to additional farms, schools, students, teachers, and volunteers across Vermont

Preferred Qualifications (please see the Just Transition Principles for a look at our social justice philosophy):

• Experience with the intersections of climate justice, anti-racist work, regenerative agriculture principles, coordinating teams, community service, education, or related fields 

• Strong networking skills and experience implementing programs and collaborative work plans 

• Strong leadership skills, ability to work independently, and as a team member

• Computer (Google Suite, spreadsheets, web design, social media, etc.) and financial literacy

• Experience working with high school students, school staff and teachers, farmers, consultants, and volunteers

Details:

Applications will be accepted starting December 4th until the position is filled. This is an evolving part-time position with a fundraising plan aimed at expanding into a full-time, long-term position. Weekly time commitments vary based on time of year, with an average of 10-20 hours per week.
