UPDATE: Career Profiles Continue to Expand their Reach & Drive our Work.

The Career Profiles project has five classes in Windsor, Orange, and Lamoille counties currently working on compiling profiles based on student interviews with food systems professionals. Each class is able to adapt the project to meet the resources of their community as well as the goals of the educators and interests of the students.  Read more here  about the recent adaptation taken by students and educators at RTCC. 

Additionally, we are partnering with the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Food, & Markets to increase student exposure to food system careers by creating panels of professionals, the first of which will be presented to a class of 20 high school students at CCV in Montpelier on July 30th.

Our goals for the next phase of the project are to assist schools in planning the project for next year, outreach to additional schools, create additional profiles, and publish a second volume of the Career Profiles and Pathway publications. Next steps include creating a website through which we can display the profiles in different formats and creating more resources for teachers.
