Bennington County Conservation District

Bennington County Conservation District promotes rural livelihoods and protects natural resources in Southwestern Vermont. We work with a number of private and public partners, because we believe collaboration is the key to making conservation progress. We design, find funding for, and implement projects that protect and enhance our working and natural landscapes. We assist our farmers and forest owners sustainably secure the benefits they hope for from their lands. We assist partner organizations, agencies, and communities address threats to clean water, healthy forests, and a vibrant agricultural economy. We reach out to the general public of all ages to share our rivers, our woods, and our open places – to help them learn to care for those environments, and to nurture an ethic of stewardship toward them.
