Farm at South Village
(802) 355-0423
136 South Allen Road
South Burlington, Vermont 05403

At the heart of South Village is a 4-acre organic farm that plays a vital role in connecting South Village residents to local food production. The farm is also restoring a valuable agricultural resource by improving the fertility of the land through organic farming techniques that include crop rotation, cover cropping, and careful application of compost and organic nutrients. The Farm at South Village produces vegetables, flowers, fruit, eggs and honey in the fields and in two “high tunnel” greenhouses. Most of the crops produced on the farm are distributed through the Farm at South Village CSA, which is open to South Village residents as well as the local community. CSA members who purchase a standard summer-season CSA vegetable share receive a weekly supply of organic produce for twenty weeks from June through October. The Farm at South Village CSA is a multi-farm CSA, which means members enjoy a diverse selection of organic vegetables from South Village, Open Heart Farm in Burlington, and the Intervale Food Hub, which consolidates produce from more than 20 local farms. The types and amounts of vegetables vary from week to week based on the season and the growing conditions. Farm at South Village CSA members also enjoy complimentary access to a pick-your-own garden of vegetables and flowers. Additional share options are available for cheese from Shelburne Farms, bread from O Bread Bakery, and eggs from Rockville Market Farm. Spring and winter shares are available as well. Membership in the Farm at South Village CSA is currently limited to 70 shares. For more information, please visit the Farm’s website at, email or download the brochure.
