Mary Johnson Children's Center is a busy, non profit early education program in Middlebury Vermont serving families who represent the economic diversity of our county. Our food program is integral to our Center and to our identity. Serving 65 children per day, the Center uses as many locally sourced foods as possible.
Mary Johnson Children's Center is a partnership of parents, staff and community providing a web of support for children and families. A major component of our work is our food program. Families who use the Center represent the economic and social diversity found in Addison County and providing healthy meals and establishing healthy eating habits is a core program value. The Center works to connect to local food producers and serving scratch cooked meals using as many unprocessed local foods as possible.
