Jennie began her career as a primary and middle school educator. In 2001, she founded the Deep Creek Middle School on the island of Eleuthera, The Bahamas. In addition to national curriculum requirements, the school focused on sustainable development, local agriculture, leadership and community. She served on the board of the Cape Eleuthera Foundation until 2014. In addition to raising her three active children, Jennie is now the president of West River Sports Association, a Four Winds Volunteer at Flood Brook School, and Farm To School coordinator for Northshire Grows. Jennie’s personal interests include gardening, cooking, hiking, skiing of every kind, and most any activity as long as it is outside! She enjoys working with children and community, especially through the common need of us all – food!
