Chapter 2: Getting to 2020: Goals and Indicators
Goal 19: Business planning and technical assistance services will be highly coordinated, strategic, and accessible to Vermont’s food system businesses.
While there are many public and private business planning and technical assistance programs and services available in Vermont, many food system stakeholders and F2P focus group participants noted that they sometimes don’t know where to start to find the most appropriate service to meet their specific needs. To address this issue, Chapter 4, Section 4: Food System Business Planning and Technical Assistance summarizes the range of business planning and technical assistance services currently available.
Our key indicator for Goal 19 is temporarily the types of data collected by technical assistance providers. A survey conducted by Yellow Wood Associates for the Production and Processing Working Group identified the kinds of performance measurements that technical assistance providers collect. However, we have not aggregated these performance measurements into population indicators.
