Mari grew up in the hills around Rutland. She spent two decades outside Vermont and worked at Conservation International and the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. In 2007 she returned to Vermont with her partner Laura Olsen and launched Green Mountain Girls Farm where they raise happy and healthy meat, eggs, milk, vegetables and herbs and hosts visitors for events and farmstays.
