Registration is now open for the 2015 SNA-VT Conference and Annual Meeting which will be taking place on Friday, October 9 at the Stoweflake Mountain Resort & Spa in beautiful Stowe, VT! The conference theme is School Nutrition: Well-being for Today, Tomorrow, and the Future.
We've got an amazing line-up of events, including 2 national speakers, six exciting workshops, the annual vendor show, and a silent auction.
Our Keynote Speaker is Bart Christian, President of Southwest Training Systems Inc and author of Simple Solutions book series. He brings over 25 years of experience in the field of management and training to K-12 school nutrition. Also speaking is chef Brenda Thompson-Wattles from Boise, Idaho. She is a registered dietician, accredited chef, and owner of BLT Food and Nutrition. Chef Brenda teaches people to create healthy foods that are nutrient rich and delicious.
Workshops include: Healthy Communication in the Workplace, Ditch the Food-i-Tude: Eat School Breakfast!, Wellness Policies: What Difference Do They Make?, Roundtable for Directors, Sodium Reduction: Understanding the Issue and Strategies for Success, and Wellness: How to be a Healthy Role Model.
There will also be a SNA-VT Annual Membership Meeting with a statement by outgoing President Erika Dolan, address from new President Linda Wheelock, election of new officers, and the Awards Ceremony.
