Intervale Center's Fair Share Program Seeks Income Eligible Members!
The Intervale Center Fair Share program runs for 16 weeks (July 11th-October 31st) with CSA style pickups every Monday at the Intervale Center from 2:30-4:30pm. The food is from Intervale farms and other farms in Chittenden County and has been gleaned by Intervale Center staff and volunteers. All CSA members' gross income must fall at or below 185% of the U.S. Poverty Income Guidelines, the same income eligibility for 3SquaresVT and WIC.

Working Lands Enterprise Board Announces over $600,000 in grants to Vermont Entrepreneurs and Technical Assistance Providers
The Working Lands Enterprise Board announced its fourth year of grants, totaling $634,000 in investments that impact every county in Vermont. The 44 grantees (including 24 trade show assistance grants) will leverage an additional $2.5 million in matching funds to create jobs, increase income, and keep working lands acreage in production. UVM On Track to Surpass Goal for “Real” Food Purchases
University of Vermont is on track to surpass its current goal of purchasing 20 percent local, sustainable, fair, and humane food. In the 2015-2016 school year, 19 percent of the food purchased by UVM Dining qualified as “real” according to the Real Food Challenge, indicating that the institution is likely to exceed 20 percent Real Food by 2020, the current target date.
