VT Grocers Project provides an opportunity to learn first-hand how an award winning food manufacturer buys from local farms, produces their own as well as co-packing and sells to retail food stores.

Understanding production helps us sell products more effectively. 

The Meet the Maker Series provides a clear view of how products move from production to retail. Designed for specialty and co-op food stores, food hub workers, distributors, and farm store managers to educate and discover the intricacies of developing a specialty food brand with VT grown ingredients. 

In this small group meet-up participants will learn from each other in a production facility, fostering a greater understanding of the food you sell. 

We'll cover lots of good stuff to help your food sales:

• contracting with Vermont farmers for ingredient sourcing
• how efficient shipping and distribution system benefits sales
• co-packing and the creation of high-quality products for multiple brands.
