Experience a small scale no-till production farm firsthand!

Breadseed Farm's one acre market garden in Craftsbury focuses on regenerative practices and building soil health. Farmers Kayleigh Boyle and Douglas Wolcik have fifteen years of growing experience, with the past six years focused on exclusively no-till growing. Doug and Kayleigh will give a tour-based workshop of Breadseed's third-year production fields. Learn about setting up no-till beds (i.e. growing without disturbing the soil) and the many benefits of this practice, such as less erosion, better soil health, biodiversity, water-holding capacity, carbon sequestration, and more. Also learn about incorporating perennial hedgerows, growing in high tunnels, finding markets, and growing intensively on a small scale! Gardeners, homesteaders, and small commercial growers will find value in this workshop.

Cost: $25 members; $35 non-members; BIPOC complimentary
