Microbes and Makers Unite at Annual Fermentation Celebration

[Fairlee, VT] – Fermentation enthusiasts and curious foodies are invited to a vibrant gathering celebrating the microbial transformation of food. This year's Fermentation Celebration brings together local producers, bakers and brewers for an exciting day of demos, delicious samples and a one-of-a-kind Community Starter Swap.

Attendees can mingle with fabulous fermenters, taste a wide array of products and purchase local fermented foods and beverages to take home. The event will feature a series of live demonstrations, including sourdough culture with Baker's Bench and mead making with Golden Rule Mead.

Highlights include:

  • Kraut Kitchen Bulk Pack: Cindy will fill your clean bulk containers with your favorite Power Kraut varieties and fermented hot sauces. Don't miss the unveiling of new seasonal varieties only available at The Fermentation Celebration!
  • Community Starter Swap: Expand your culture collection by bringing and exchanging sourdough starters, kombucha SCOBYs, vinegar mothers or kefir grains with fellow ferment fans.
  • Local Market: Shop for Root 5 Farm veggies, other locally made foods and gifts to support community producers.
  • Live Music: Music provided by Route 5 Jive from 2-4 pm
