UE Local 255

We are the unionized workers of Hunger Mountain Coop. Local 255 belongs to the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, representing 35,000 workers across the country. UE is a rank and file union--run democratically by the membership. UE believes in aggressive struggle, giving workers the voice and strength to challenge unfair working conditions. The members of Local 255 are an integral part of the local food system, and are committed to seeing the Vermont food system thrive for all Vermonters. Fair wages and working conditions are essential to the economic vitality of our food system and the workers within it.
