The Food Program Coordinator manages all aspects of the Family Room kitchen and food program, including meal planning, food procurement, budgeting, food preparation, serving and clean up for children and families in programs. The Food Program Coordinator ensures that kitchen areas are consistently maintained in a clean and safe condition; observes and maintains food hygiene standards. They plan and prepare meals that meet proper nutritional requirements. They ensure that food is stored and handled properly, and that the kitchen and all its equipment are thoroughly sanitary. The Food Program Coordinator Keeps appropriate records and budgets, and is responsible for procuring food and keeping records of those accounts. Initiates and maintains community partnerships related to food sourcing and menu planning. Responsible for making sure all staff and volunteers follow appropriate kitchen procedures and standards for food hygiene, storage, and serving. Collaborates with program staff and leadership to create and adapt program meal plans and food related program activities.
This is a part-time position (approximately 25–28 hours per week), and with a pay rate of $23 per hour
and an available benefits package.
