The Vermont Department of Health’s Middlebury District Office has an opening for a dynamic Nutrition Assistant to complement our professional team. This position is an opportunity to work with clients and community partners in direct support of the Women Infants and Children (WIC) program. This is a nutrition education and clerical position that advances our mission: To protect and promote the best health for all Vermonters. The successful candidate will: 


•    Work one on one with WIC participants by providing certification services  
•    Use problem solving skills to resolve nutrition-related questions from participants and community partners  
•    Provide clerical duties that support the enrollment and retention of WIC participants  
•    Participate in office initiatives such as lead screening and emergency preparedness

Compensation and Benefits

Minimum Salary:  $24.59
Maximum Salary:  $38.27
