Hardwick Assistant Site Coordinator

Approximately 20 hours/week | $21/hour
The Hardwick Area Food Pantry (HAFP) operates three sites in Hardwick, Craftsbury, and Albany and serves an average of 2,000 people each month from more than 20 surrounding towns. We are committed to supporting our communities in dignity and care.
We are seeking an Assistant Site Coordinator for our Hardwick location to help oversee the day-to-day operations of the pantry. This is a hands-on position that requires someone who enjoys connecting with diverse members of our community and is comfortable balancing many different responsibilities. The Assistant Site Coordinator will work closely and frequently with the HAFP Director and Site Coordinator.
Essential Duties
- Assist with Tuesday morning Food Bank order receiving
- Oversee all aspects of Wednesday home delivery procedures
- Conduct Saturday open hours
- Maintain inventory and move product between storage and off-site locations
- Assist with food management, including ordering, receiving, restocking, and tracking donations
- Coordinate all aspects of volunteer management for Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts
- Perform custodial duties, including sanitizing, mopping, dusting, and trash and compost removal
- Assist with office and facilities management, including checking phones, updating documents, printing materials, and organizing files
- Maintain records and collect data
- Partner with the Director and Site Coordinator on a variety of projects, including painting, repairs, purchasing, organizing, documentation, and tracking metrics
Perform emergency deliveries, make informal social service referrals, and assist with conflict resolution as needed
All candidates must:
- Be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly. Our Hardwick site distributes approximately 20,000 pounds of food each month.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Have basic comfort with computer technology; familiarity with Google Workspace is preferred
- Be comfortable using a hand truck and pallet jack; experience is preferred
- Be detail-oriented and organized
