Come join a team of dedicated and compassionate staff at a 16-bed state-of-the-art Secure Residential Facility in Essex, Vermont.
The Supervising Chef manages, plans, and coordinates the provision of food for the residents of RVTR. He/she is responsible for developing and executing the menu. Participates in the training of employees in dietetics and food service procedures. Prepares reports related to food costs, inventories, number of meals served and waste. Supervises the ordering and storage of supplies for food service. Will develop special programs for residents that have special needs. Ensures that proper sanitation standards are maintained. Hires, supervises and evaluates subordinate staff.
Mission:
The River Valley Therapeutic Residence (RVTR) aims to improve the health and well-being of Vermont's most vulnerable populations while focusing on psychiatric rehabilitation services and psychosocial treatment delivered in a recovery oriented, trauma informed, person-centered, holistic environment. The program offers a safe space to focus on recovery and community integration for those individuals no longer needing hospital level of care, but who are not yet ready to transition back to the community. Maximum Salary: $48.58
