The Vermont Food Hub Collaborative (VFHC) consists of 6 non-profit food hubs operated by:
- Addison County Relocalizaiton Network (ACORN)
- Center for an Agricultural Economy (CAE)
- Food Connects (FC)
- Green Mountain Farm to School (GMFTS)
- Intervale Center (IC)
- Vermont Farmers Food Center (VFFC)
The member food hubs are committed to increasing sales and market opportunities for local producers and enhancing the viability of Vermont’s agricultural sector. The member food-hubs do this individually and collaboratively by managing the aggregation, distribution, marketing, and sales of local food products to direct-to-consumer, grocery, restaurant, and school and institutional buyers.
Strategic Plan Alignment
As a Farm to Plate Network group, VFHC is directly contributing to the following goals of the 2021 - 2030 Vermont Agriculture & Food System Strategic Plan:
Sustainable Economic Development Goals
- Food system economic output, employment, and establishments in Vermont will increase.
- Demand for Vermont food will increase.
Vermont's production portfolio is more diverse, farm and food businesses of all types will increase their economic viability, and businesses have equitable access to capital and to production, processing, aggregation, and distribution infrastructure appropriate to their needs.
Healthy Local Food For All Vermonters Goals
12. All people in Vermont are able to access locations in which local food is sold, served, or provided.
14. Vermont's food system is resilient and able to provide adequate and accessible healthy local food in the face of emergencies - including climate-related natural disasters.
Work towards achieving these goals is achieved through focused implementation of Priority Strategies 5, 7, 8, and 16 (pg 30 -31)

Membership to VFHC is limited to food hubs in the state that meet membership requirements related to mission, operational maturity, data transparency, and shared values.
