Ellen Kahler to Join Panel on the Future of Vermont's Food & Farm Economy

The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund’s Executive Director, Ellen Kahler, will be a featured panelist at an upcoming event hosted by Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) and The Intervale Center discussing trends and predictions for the future of Vermont’s food and farm economy.
This networking and learning event will bring together food system leaders to reflect on how far Vermont’s farm and food sector has come—and where it’s headed. With deep roots in Vermont’s culture, economy, and land use, the local food system continues to evolve, driven by innovation, collaboration, and resilience.
Moderated by Travis Marcotte, Executive Director of The Intervale Center, the panel will also feature:
- Jean Hamilton, Business Consultant, Jean Hamilton Consulting
- Grace Oedel, Executive Director, NOFA-VT
Nicole Reilly, Senior Manager of Sustainability, UVM Dining (Sodexo)
The event offers a chance to connect with colleagues, enjoy local refreshments from Adventure Dinner, and hear insights from some of the state’s most dedicated food system changemakers.
All are welcome to attend—especially those committed to building a just, thriving, and sustainable economy for people and the planet.
