[BURLINGTON, VT, August 10 2021—] The Intervale Food Hub today announced expansion of their local food delivery service to all residences in Winooski and select South Burlington neighborhoods. The Burlington-based hub brings products together from over 70 Vermont farmers and food makers and delivers them to homes, businesses, and community sites in the greater Burlington area through their online marketplace.

The Intervale Food Hub launched home delivery in Burlington in 2017 and grew in response to home delivery demands during the COVID-19 pandemic. With more capacity and a continued increase in Vermont grown and produced products, the IFH is expanding delivery routes to serve more community members.

“We are excited to bring amazing foods from Vermont farmers and food makers to more people in the Chittenden County area” says Travis Marcotte, Executive Director of the Intervale Center. “This means you can easily buy the best meats, fish, fruits, dairy, vegetables and prepared foods and feel great that your food dollars are working hard to support Vermont farmers and food makers that make our state so special.”

Customers can join the Intervale Food Hub at any time and shop from over 200 Vermont-made products on the Food Hub’s website, receiving custom deliveries each week. In addition to their shop offerings, the Food Hub offers CSA-style produce packages, curated weekly for peak seasonality. The Intervale Food hub accepts SNAP/EBT payment for all orders, increasing food access regardless of income.

The Intervale Food Hub is a social enterprise of the Intervale Center whose focus is on making it easy to eat local. Their mission is to bring more Vermonters into the community food system with year-round deliveries of Vermont foods to homes, community sites, and workplaces in the greater Burlington area. The Food Hub helps farmers and food makers across Vermont bring their products to market in convenient and profitable ways that make our agricultural economy stronger and more resilient.
