New: Vermont Schools & Early Childhood Centers Local Food Purchasing Evaluation 2024

The Vermont Farm to School & Early Childhood Network just released a new evaluation on local food purchasing in the state’s schools and early childhood programs!
Vermont schools now spend about 14% of their food budgets on local food, totaling roughly $3.5M a year and representing a 150% increase since 2014. 71% of early childhood programs report serving local food, and nearly all weave food education into their programming.
